Germaine Reyes

Germaine’s field of specialization lies in strategic market research design, planning, management, and market-based analysis. She brings in expertise to provide inputs/leads for branding, marketing, strategy purposes for fast-moving consumers goods, service industries, corporate businesses, or any that need female intuition/inputs or any endeavor that requires consumer-based
understanding on a consultative level.

Germaine’s expertise was honed through years of working as an Associate Research Director for the Strategic Marketing Research, Research and Trends team of The Coca-Cola Export Corporation, Philippines Division of The Coca-Cola Company, as a Research Manager in AC Nielsen (Retail Measurement Group) and in advertising companies including PAC/BBDO Worldwide, Inc., specifically mentored by BBDO New York’s Strategic Research Group. A total of 23 years exposed her to various business, marketing, strategic-thinking processes and planning, market research problems, solutions/tools, trainings both locally and abroad. Her macro-thinking, planning and project management skills were developed through her early stint in the Board of Investments and the Department of Labor and Employment, exposing her to international and local projects on investments, labor productivity programs that had institutional impact.

She has a BS and Master of Statistics degrees from the University of the Philippines (Diliman, Quezon City); a scholar under UP Statistics Fellowship Association and NEDA-TDI (US-AID project). Equipped with a quantitative ability, Germaine’s qualitative expertise is also borne by her experience, process-orientedness, perceptiveness and intuitiveness. These provide the backbone to her value-adding ability to integrate and analyze ideas from these disciplines, various markets and studies, sealed by her layman’s ability to communicate key learnings and technical know-how to clients.

Renzo Reyes

Providing the macro- and micro-economic, business and sales/trade perspective is the kind of expertise that Renzo brings into a project, particularly during the stages of conceptualization, implementation (given nuances that impact on Client’s business), analyses and formulation of recommendations. He likewise serves as a resource on technology, industrial-based products and, of course, male-based products/services..

Renzo’s 11 year-tenure in Petron Corporation, the largest oil company in the Philippines and a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco, enabled him to experience a wide range of responsibilities to see the different aspects of a business from market planning and distribution, project/investment planning & feasibility, sales and sales analysis & forecasting, and information technology. During his tenure at Petron, he has had training in Japan for an investment feasibility project for application to the Philippine setting. He also led a team tasked with the design, development and implementation of some of the company’s SAP Finance modules, which includes development of a cost allocation method for profitability analysis and material inventory management, working closely with Andersen Consulting.

An earlier calling in investment work at the Board of Investments had him evaluate investment projects that had significant impact on the Philippine economy, especially in the Chemicals sector.

As such, Renzo is able to speak the language of different industries, provide inputs from these businesses’ perspective and respond to clients’ needs accordingly. In the 7 years of leading Synergy’s project design and analysis team, Renzo provides insights into the business implications of market research results, emerging cost-benefit implications that maximize and/or optimize potential, real-life actionability of Synergy’s project recommendations.

Renzo is a Bachelor of Science in Economics graduate from the University of the Philippines (Diliman, Quezon City), where he received the distinction of graduating cum laude in his batch.

Renzo is the Vice-President of Synergy.
